For recruiters

Read this before you send the message.

I answer every approach that shows it was written for me. This page holds the answers to the questions that usually cost us two rounds of email — so the first message can be the useful one.

Current status

Employed and not searching — but open to the right thing. I read every approach and reply either way. If the fit is not there, the no comes quickly.

The short version

Current role
Senior Technical Program Manager, Microsoft
Focus
Sovereign cloud and infrastructure programme delivery, operational readiness, cross-functional leadership without direct authority
Based in
Hamburg, Germany
Working languages
German, English

A good fit looks like

  • Senior programme ownership in cloud infrastructure or platform work.
  • Cross-functional leadership across teams that do not report to me.
  • Fully remote preferred. Hybrid works where travel is planned rather than assumed; on-site means Hamburg.
  • Permanent employment.
  • A step up. What would move me is scope above my current level and a real challenge — I am open on domain and industry, less so on level.

Probably not a fit

  • Roles below my current level of responsibility.
  • Freelance or contract work. Permanent only.
  • Approaches with no stated budget.

What to put in the first message

Five lines will do. If they are these five, you get a real answer instead of a holding reply.

  1. The actual company name — not “a leading player in the sector”.
  2. The scope: what the programme owns, who it reports to, and what is already broken.
  3. Location, remote policy, and expected travel.
  4. The budget. I expect a band from your side — I do not open with mine.
  5. Why the role exists now — growth, a new mandate, or something that needs fixing.

Templated InMails that open with a technology I have never worked with usually go unanswered. Nothing personal — it is the only filter that keeps this inbox usable.

Still think there is a fit?

Send the five lines, or book a slot directly. Both reach me.
